Dr. Lisa Pocius
Lisa Pocius is a board-certified physician with a special interest in dyslexia. She is returning to her first love, teaching, after twelve years in family medicine. Lisa holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Education, as well as her Doctorate in Medicine. She is currently completing her Dyslexia Certificate from the Dyslexia Training Institute, and has recently trained in Problem-Based Learning at the Illinois Math and Science Academy.
Tara Chapman has been teaching students in both public and private settings for 30 years. She has extensive training in the field of education. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction-Reading, and an American Montessori Society Elementary I Credential. Tara is a Certified Academic Language Therapist, and a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist. Recently, she opened The Written Word Learning Center in downtown Wheaton, where she works with students who have dyslexia and language based learning differences.
